Spirit Historical Society, Inc.
Incorporated in 2003, German Settlement History, Inc. was organized exclusively to protect, conserve and display buildings, artifacts and documents of historical value and interest in the German Settlement of Town of Spirit, Price County, Wisconsin, for educational purposes.
Spirit Historical Society, Inc. is the successor of German Settlement History, Inc.. Spirit Historical Society, Inc. is organized for educational purposes to protect, conserve and display buildings, artifacts and documents of historical value and interest in the Towns of Spirit and Hill in Price County and surrounding Spirit River Valley.
Decisions are made by a board of 12 voting members. Meetings are held several times a year with the annual meeting being held in January.
Spirit Historical Society, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization.

NEXT MEETING:
Our next meeting will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Spirit Town Hall at 10:00 am. It will also be available using the online platform. All are welcome to attend. If you have input or ideas, please send them our way before then.

Barn Dance/Fund Raiser
Annual Memorial Day Weekend Barn Dance is held each year!
Our next Dance will be held Sunday Evening May 25, 2025.
Dancing starts at 6 pm, ending at midnight. A donation gets you in!
Location: N1169 German Settlement Rd., in Spirit at the Darrel & Luann Lind farm.
Gary Edinger will teach square dancing once again.
Karl Lind will be our DJ for the evening.
Refreshments will be served immediately after the flag raising at 8 pm.
Chances will be sold for baskets of goods and craft items.

Open House
We plan to hold our open house in conjunction with the
Spirit-Hill-Ogema 4-H fair, at the Spirit Town Hall, on Saturday Aug. 17th.
Tours will be given from 9 am to 3 pm that day.
